Charles (owner) is always very nice and known my wife's dad his entire life. Prices are high to me but I usually would fix my own vehicle. However, with age and disability it's tough to do what I used to do 20+ yrs ago. Never been told I needed something fixed that wasn't a scam like some shops have done. The price isn't important when you get a good mechanic and honest. Thanks Charles for helping fix my wife's car.
This is a five star auto shop. The owner, the staff, and everyone else involved are honest, hard-working, determined specialists. bring your vehicle here and expect it to be repaired correctly. This is the best experience I’ve ever had at any auto shop in my life and I will never go to another shop after finding these guys. Take my word for it. in particular I had electrical issues that another shop could not figure out of course these guys got it fixed even upgrading numerous other parts to bring my old suburban to it’s optimal running state. Also I did not feel like I was taken advantage of when it came time to pay.
My daughter is a college student driving a 20 year old Civic that had some issues over heating a few months ago. Cedar City Auto was great at communicating with me and updating me on the status of the car and replaced the radiator and thermostat. A few months later, the car started to over heat again. Cedar City Auto warrantied a faulty part (thermostat) as well as adjusted squeaky belts. They refused to take payment for the extra service they performed beyond the warranty work. They have earned my trust and recommendation!
I have confidence this is a good shop. But if you’re traveling through town on the weekend and have car troubles, don’t plan on having them see your car on Monday. I was on the phone with them when they opened on Monday and they told me they couldn’t see my car until at least sometime Tuesday. Put your faith in some other shop if you are traveling and have weekend car trouble.
I’ve been going to this shop for 5 years. I keep going back because I trust their word, and value their advice. Good pricing and quality work is there, but trust is invaluable.Update: I had an issue with a Toyota RAV4 hybrid. I took this vehicle to three separate Toyota dealerships in northern Utah. One of them told me what was wrong, and that they couldn’t do anything about it. Another told us it was our driving behaviors, and another told us it was bad fuel.I ended up arranging to have Charles and his crew look at it, and of course, they were able to diagnose the issue, and have it fixed within 2 days. Thanks guys 👊🏻
The mechanics at Cedar City Auto were able to get me home today; my car’s alternator died two and a half hours from home and they took wonderful care of me, squeezing me into their busy schedule and helping me check the warranty on my old alternator and giving me a great price for the install. They were so kind and so helpful and I was able to get home with their help. Thank you!!
These guys are awesome. I referred an old Tennant here after 2 other mechanics failed to diagnose what was wrong with her truck, they fixed the truck and didn't break her bank account.When I had problems, they thought maybe it was the coolent leaking and they checked it out without charging me.I brought it back for further diagnostics and they found my oil leak and fixed my sway links. Sway links are super easy to replace and inexpensive. They had an opportunity to blame it on something more expensive or charge me for more than what sway links are worth, but they were fair and quick to service my car.Super grateful for your help!
My family and I are new to Cedar city have been moved from New England. Finding a trusted mechanic is always first on the list of things to acquire. We have a classic vehicle that not everybody is comfortable working on. They were able to schedule me in, and do an oil change a new spark plugs on our Porsche. The crew is extremely friendly and personable, their prices, especially considering the vehicle they were working on we’re by far reasonable, and we will be using them for our every day drive maintenance as well. Highly recommended.

My car check engine light came on and it was difficult to tell what the issue was. They were able to diagnose it after a few different tests. They didn’t charge me for all the different things they had to do to find the problem, which was very nice of them because they could’ve. Very helpful and nice people. Would go back again.
Charles helped me out in a pinch with my motorcycle. All the guys that came out and helped were super nice and professional. These guys work hard, if I wasn't moving I'd be back. Thanks again.
Charles quickly diagnosed my problem over the phone and saved me a huge amount of time and $. I so appreciate his helpfulness because I know he was slammed and went way above and beyond to spend the time helping me. If this is the quality of service they provide then they just earned themselves a new customer!
The mechanics were friendly and asked all the right questions. Very knowledgeable. Only took a few hours to fix a problem another mechanic shop couldn't. Plus informed me of another possible problem while checking my car. Got me back in the following week. Thanks.
This is my favorite auto shop! Especially as a woman, it’s hard to find someone who will look at your car and make you feel safe. Jason is my favorite mechanic and always is willing to help and go above and beyond for me and other customers. He talks to me at my knowledge level about my car and always wants to make things work within my budget. He truly creates customer loyalty and makes stressful car issues a less stressful experience!
My car had an issue with a tire (nail was embedded; this was in mid August). I had just moved here, took my car in without an appt. The customer service was excellent. Bradley was basically in charge with getting my car serviced. He was extremely kind, attentive and reassuring. Definitely will return to this shop.
Towed my truck in cause of a knocking sound. It started and I was able to drive it up on the tow truck. Was called they told me it could be a couple of things they were going to have to open up the engine and it would be x amount of dollars. I gave them the ok to do so. They call me back tell me I need to replace the entire engine and they couldn’t get to it for another 6-8 weeks, but I needed to come get the truck cause they could not store it. I told them I would send the tow truck into get it. And my husband and I would figure something else out with the engine. Not only did they not put my truck back together I have peices of the engine EVERY where. And someone one hit the back end of the truck and took the fog lights off the front. When I called to ask about it all I got was. We will check our Cameras. I wouldn’t even give them a 1 star. Horrible place to take your car.
Most reliable shop in town. Charlie, Jason and the whole crew. I have never had a bad experience with these guys. There is reason they are the busiest shop in town. They are the best.
This place is pretty awesome. You might have to wait to get a spot, but they're this busy for a reason- they're very good at what they do. If you've got a European car, this is the only game in town. They swapped the water pump off my BMW inside of a day and didn't beat me up on labor.
New years eve, my car's service stabilitrack light kept coming on and my engine was reducing power. Called two other places before I called these guys and got told they couldn't do anything but maybe diagnose the problem because they were booked being the day before a holiday. Cedar City Auto Repair not only diagnosed the problem but fixed it the same day!!! They didn't charge me to diagnose the problem like the other two places were going to. I highly recommend these gentlemen. If you want honest, quick, and friendly service they are the place to go. I will be taking my vehicle here from now on!
After spending a week at the local GMC dealership with a "Reduced Engine Power" electrical issue, the dealership referred us to Charles at Cedar City Auto Repair. Charles and his team were AMAZING! They spent 2 hours past closing time troubleshooting the issue and found some additional major work that needed to be done that the dealership completely missed. The next day they found and solved the electrical issue within a few hours and had us back on the road within 24 hours of us arriving. Would highly recommend these guys as the best mechanics in Cedar City, super friendly, very good at what they do and extremely fair with pricing.Thank's again Charles and team!

With a thousand miles left on our road trip, we found ourselves near Cedar City with a vehicle making an unholy noise in the engine bay and being absolutely gutless on the freeway. I gave these guys a call and they came through for us, two of them jumping out of the shop to diagnose my vehicle when I arrived.In mere seconds, the culprit was found and better yet, they said they could have us fixed up and with an oil change while we grabbed lunch.When we returned, the vehicle was ready to hit the freeway again. Moreover, the price for the work was more than fair and my tough to reach oil filter (behind an aftermarket front reciever) didn't scare them either.Afterwards, I noticed that the oil change sticker for my Canadian vehicle was written in kilometers instead of miles, a good attention to detail that every other shop south of the border has missed.They really helped us out and saved the day. It's easy to see why this shop has the flawless rating it does!
My daughter’s car had a fuel leak Thursday afternoon. Cedar City Auto assessed the problem first thing Friday morning and by 7:20 am they were calling me with repair options. As soon as the part arrived, Monday afternoon, they installed it and my daughter was picking up her car at 3:00 pm that same day. Super impressed with the level of competence and excellent service from the initial phone call to when my daughter retrieved her car. I Highly recommend this establishment, their competent staff and their able mechanics who helped me with my daughter’s car.

We were traveling from SC and needed Freon for our A/C. The staff was very helpful, and the price was very reasonable. They had us back on the road within an hour. Would highly recommend!
I cannot say enough good things about Charlie and his crew. My family's vintage RV broke down in Cedar City, and Charlie and his mechanic figured out the issue quickly and got us back on the road in no time, all at a fair price. He went beyond the call of duty, helping with another RV issue we were having, giving us restaurant tips, etc. Amazing service!
Charley is fantastic. A good friend for many years. They have sent me away free of charge for simple little things or a quick check, they don’t try to pull you in for any and everything, just what you want and what you need. They do quick service, and competitively priced.
My wife was having car problems on a road trip from AZ. I googled car repair in Cedar City and happened upon this shop. The 5 star review was spot on! They stopped what they were working on to assist my wife with her car engine troubles knowing she had to get back on the road. It was much appreciated that they didn't make her wait hours to know what needed to be done. The advice and service they gave was amazing and my wife made it safely to SLC with their help. Charles Flowers was very kind and professional. We appreciate Cedar City Auto Repair so much!
